I am a firm believer that life should be enjoyed and loved to the fullest. I love desserts and I refuse to live a life without them. Seven days is a lot of time to wait for a cheat day. This recipe is delicious and no cheat day is needed! You can eat 1 every day, guilt free.
Brownies
Ingredients:
1 cup of Carbquick
1/2 cup of Hershey's Special Dark
1 stick of butter
1tbs of vanilla extract
1.5 cup of Sola Sweetener
1 oz of Half and Half
1 pinch of salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
4 whole eggs
1 egg yolk
Procedure: First Melt the butter in the microwave, just like 30 seconds. Mix the butter with the cocoa powder, the vanilla and the eggs. Second, add the Sola Sweetener. Finally incorporate slowly the Carbquick , salt and baking powder. Pour batter in greased pan 8 x 8. Bake for 30-40 minutes. Do not over cook. They should be firm to the touch on top but fudgy in the inside.
Chocolate Frosting:
1tsp of Vanilla Extract
2 oz of butter slightly melted
4 oz of Cocoa Powder
1 oz of Warm Half and half
1 cup of Swerve Confectioner Sugar
Procedure:
Mix the butter with the cocoa powder and the vanilla. Slowly, add the confectioner sugar alternating with streams of warm Half and half. If you wanted the frosting to be more like a glaze, add more Half and half. If you like it more fudgy, let it rest in the fridge for 10 minutes.
This recipe is my go to when I have a big craving. It is delicious and I do not feel deprived at all. You can add nuts or dried fruits to the batter if you want. Be sure to tag me in facebook or Instagram
