Having a healthy life-style doesn't mean that you will eat salads and grilled chicken all the time. There is life, birthdays, celebrations and potlucks. I believe health is a journey not a destination. Instead of Fast and furious enjoy the ride and make little changes one day at a time. This Frosting will make anybody happy, even if they are not in a diet. It is rich and just hits that spot that makes you go wow! OMG! and "I want more".
Ingredients:
3 Tbs of Coconut oil
2 oz of Coconut Palm Syrup/ Maple syrup
1 tbs of Vanilla Extract
6 tbs of unsweetened Dark Cocoa Powder
1 pinch of Salt
Procedure:
Melt the Coconut Oil until liquid. Add all the ingredients until you have a smooth Chocolate Syrup. Drizzle over the Cake, top with nuts and Chill. After 20 minutes the frosting will be hard and settled.
This is such an easy recipe! Is my go-to . When I am in a rush I always default to Bundt cake with a glaze. There is something about the simplicity and elegance of a bundt cake that just makes it a classic, just like this glace. You can also use this frosting (glace) to cover almonds, strawberries and even pineapples. The possibilities are endless!
Low-carb version: if you are cutting sugars I would recommend you use Xylithol. If you are using Xylithol use 3/4 cup and mix it with the coconut oil and melt them together in the microwave. Check taste and modify according to your liking. Xylithol measures cup by cup like sugar. If you are using Stevia or Splenda reduced the amount to 1 oz and go from there. Stevia and Splenda are sweeter than Sugar so you need less.
I cannot wait to see your cakes and how you incorporated this frosting. Be sure to tag me @coachgiset in Instagram .
